What does 2006 mean?

2006 means that...

We are officially over half way through the 00's (If that's even what they're called. Funny thing is no one knows what to call them and we're already half way through them.)

The 80's are 16 years behind us. That seems like a long time, but I still know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby" and I remember when hypercolor and leg warmers were in.

For about a month everyone will still be writing 2005. Each time they do it, they will stop, think about it, try and erase it (hard with a pen), and then finally convert the five into a six. I'm glad the five is easily convertible into a six, going from four to five wasn't as easy.
